Guests can choose an easier route with panoramic viewpoints or a more adventurous section of the famous Coast Trail. Either way, East Sooke delivers unforgettable landscapes and some of the best coastal hiking in the region.

Full-Day Coastal & Forest Route (Approx. 10 km round trip)

  • An extended adventure continuing to the historic old fishing cabin and returning through forest trails

  • Includes additional elevation changes, forest terrain, and longer time on trail

  • Designed for experienced hikers seeking a full-day challenge

The route and pace are selected based on the booked experience and group ability.

8:30 AM – Meet & Orientation

Guests meet their guide at the designated East Sooke Park trailhead. A safety briefing, route overview, and expectations are covered.

8:45 AM – Guided Coastal Hike Begins

Begin the coastal route, exploring dramatic shoreline cliffs, turquoise coves, and rainforest trails. Time is allotted for scenic viewpoints, short breaks, and photography.

12:30–1:00 PM – Half-Day Experience Concludes

The guided hike returns to the trailhead. Guests are free to depart or continue exploring the park independently.

Full-Day Coastal & Forest Route (Approx. 10 km | 7–8 hours)

8:30 AM – Meet & Orientation

Guests meet their guide at the designated East Sooke Park trailhead. A safety briefing, route overview, and expectations are covered.

8:45 AM – Full-Day Guided Hike Begins

Follow the extended coastal route continuing to the historic old fishing cabin, with additional elevation changes and rugged shoreline terrain.

Midday – Forest Return Route & Break

The hike continues inland through forest trails on the return loop. Time is provided for rest, hydration, and enjoying the quieter forest environment.

3:30–4:30 PM – Full-Day Experience Concludes

Return to the trailhead via forest trails, completing the full loop.
