Thetis Lake Regional Park

Location and Park Information

Thetis Lake Regional Park is located in View Royal and Langford on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Victoria. The main park entrance is off Six Mile Road, providing access to a beautiful natural area filled with forest trails, freshwater lakes, wetlands, and wildlife.

Established as Canada’s first nature sanctuary in 1958, the park is an important natural space that protects local ecosystems while offering visitors opportunities to explore and enjoy the outdoors.

Park Features and What Junior Hikers Can Discover

The park features Upper and Lower Thetis Lakes, surrounded by lush forests of Douglas-fir trees, Garry oak, ferns, mosses, and other native plants.
